This Remington rifle chambered in .35 Remington appears to be from the transitional stage between the Model 14 and the Model 141 Gamemaster, manufactured during the short window of mid-1935 to early 1936. While it does not carry the "Model 141" marking or the "Gamemaster" designation, it does feature the distinctive brass cartridge head embedded in the left side of the receiver, a hallmark of this transitional period. These rifles were built as Remington used up Model 14 components before fully standardizing the 141 line, making them scarce and historically interesting. The rifle remains in good condition for its age, showing honest wear consistent with decades of use, while retaining mechanical integrity.
