The Beretta 92FS is a full-size, double/single-action, semi-automatic pistol chambered in 9×19 mm (9mm Luger) that became one of the most widely used service pistols in the late 20th and early 21st centuries. Developed from the original Beretta 92 family, the 92FS adds refinements such as a fitted slide/frame interface, a solid-steel slide, an exposed barrel hood, and a frame-mounted safety/decocker that locks the slide and blocks the trigger.
