Excellent condition. Every inch of this revolver, its accessories and even the display box latch and hinges have been gold-plated and engraved by master engraver Phillip Quigley. The barrel, cylinder and frame are covered in scroll and filigree, with scalloping on the edges of the lockplate and nearby frame and barrel component corners. The top of the hammer bears decorative etching similar to the spur checkering, with a punched fish scale pattern on the sides in addition to more scroll and filigree. A small drag line is visible in two of the timing notches to the left of the hammer, suggesting it may have been advanced twice since engraving. However the scroll is not visibly scratched. The frame is signed ""QUIGLEY"" behind the serial number. Includes a copy of the August 1994 issue of American Rifleman, which shows a similarly engraved 2nd Generation 3rd Model Dragoon engraved by Mr. Quigley and presented to NRA president Robert Corbin on his retirement.
