he Erma Werke Mod M1 was a German-produced, semi-automatic .22 LR rimfire carbine designed as a trainer and copy of the American M1 Carbine
. Its specifications include a similar design to the original M1 Carbine, a steel bolt and barrel with an alloy receiver, an adjustable rear sight with a ramp and windage screw, and magazines in 5, 10, or 15-round capacities. It was produced after WWII by Erma-Werke in Bavaria and gained popularity in the commercial market.
