Description:
I am selling a beautiful all original Simson Model 76E (ejector gun) ornately engraved. This shotgun was made under the GDR. German Democratic Republic. During this time up until 1990 both Simson and Merkel were produced in the same plant together on the same lines with models being made mostly identical with the exception of engraving patterns and even then, they were identical in some situations. This Simson spares no expense in quality, as it is ornately engraved on every screw head and every panel of the gun, including the breach ends of the shotgun barrels. The bluing is perfect in condition as well as the coin finished receiver.
This shotgun has deep relief engraving of a Fox and Partridges on one side and Hares on the other side as well as elaborate scrolls and borders right down to the butt plate screws. The gun is tight as not ever been shot much at all. It appears in 95% or better condition, ejectors timed perfectly, double triggers, auto safety, European factory sling swivels and beautiful 22 LPI fine checkering on a solid piece of black walnut. Just a great example of German Quality.
