Made in 1963 and acquired by the consignor (estate) at Pachmayr Gun Works when “new”, serial 58614 (5x) has 28-inch barrels (F/F, matted vent rib with single ivory bead, blank rib marking recess, three-inch chambers, ejectors). Features include an automatic safety, cocking indicators, inertia trigger, two-piece forearm, wrap checkering with double border, scalloped pancake with shadow line and a Pachmayr recoil pad. No box or papers. DIMENSIONS: Weight is 6.8 pounds. Length-of-pull is 14.8 inches, drops are 1.4 and 2.3 inches, and cast off is approximately .35-inch. CONDITION: The bores are strong and bright. Barrels are properly on face. Mechanics operate with enthusiasm. Metal finish is approximately 97 percent. Forearm finish is approximately 90 percent. While checkering is sharp and screw heads remain unmolested, the surface finish is a bit uneven as if not allowed to dry properly. The butt appears to be a quality replacement and shows at approximately 90 percent as well. The price is firm and layaway is available. $7,500 plus shipping.
