The Colt SAA Six Shooter, manufactured in 1882, is a historic .44-40 caliber revolver featuring a 7.5" barrel, etched "COLT FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER," with restoration to as new condition. An absolutely fabulous looking ANTIQUE Colt SAA!

Description:

Standard configuration Colt SAA Frontier Six Shooter, cal .44, with 7.5" barrel having blade front and grooved rear sight. The left side of the barrel marked "COLT FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER". The top of the barrel is stamped with the one-line Hartford address. The left side of the frame has the three-line patent date markings. Left side of the trigger guard is stamped "44 CAL." Full serial number on butt, frame, and trigger guard, with the last four numbers on the side of the cylinder. Loading gate is numbered 5950. Smooth varnished walnut grips.

Condition:

Full restoration to as-new condition with sharp delineation of the etched legend on the left side of the barrel. Vivid case hardening colors on the hammer and frame. Correct blue tone of the major components and brightly polished peacock blue cylinder axle pin and all screws. Comparable condition grips. Near mirror bore. A spectacular looking antique etched frame Colt SAA in the classic .44-40 caliber that won the West!
