This Merkel Model 2116 EL is an over and under shotgun in 16 Ga. Merkel firearms are individually handcrafted by skilled gunmakers who have inherited and acquired their skills from generations of master gunmakers in Suhl, Germany. The coin finish receivers are master engraved. This firearm has 28 inch barrels with disconnectable automatic ejectors and a top barrel solid rib. A brass bead front sight. With 2 3/4 inch chambers it has fixed Modified and Improved Cylinder chokes. It has a single adjustable trigger with the barrel selector switch in the trigger guard. The coin finish receiver has hunting dog and pheasants in an outdoor scene on the left side and rabbits running in an outdoor scene on the right side. The butt stock is a checkered grip deluxe walnut round knob pistol grip. The forearm is a checkered grip two piece deluxe walnut. Serial Number 022157. 16 Gauge
