German Weatherby Mark V .300 Weatherby Magnum. Made in 1964, serial P3297 has a 24-inch barrel, polished blue finish, jeweled bolt body and early (small) safety lever. OPTIC: A period-correct Bausch & Lomb Balvar 8A 2.5-8X scope with tapering reticle and external adjustments is attached with Buehler mounts. No box or papers. DIMENSIONS: Weight (with optic) is 8.4 pounds and the length-of-pull is 13.4 inches over a Weatherby logo recoil pad. CONDITION: A two-owner rifle known to be little fired and thought to be unhunted, the bore is outstanding. Metal finish is approximately 98 percent with trace indications of handling. Wood is approximately 95 percent with a modest distribution of impressions primarily on the comb and butt left. The price is firm. $1,500 plus shipping.
