Left hand Remington Custom Shop Model 788 .308 Winchester. Serial 065148 has a 22-inch barrel (drilled/tapped for open sights). Features include a polished blue finish, left-hand bolt (ejection and two-position safety on right side), hollow bolt knob and a detachable magazine. Weaver bases are attached. No box or papers. STOCK: The AAA-walnut stock with well defined crossing grain is dressed with double-bordered checkering, a Monte Carlo comb, logo grip cap, toe line initial plate (engraved “RHC Jr.”) and a logo butt plate. No box or papers. No sling swivel studs. DIMENSIONS: Weight is 7.2 pounds and the length-of-pull is 13.5 inches. CONDITION: Clearly seldom fired and possibly never hunted, the bore is pristine other than several minor machining marks. Metal finish is approximately 98 percent. Mechanics are solid and the trigger pull crisp. Wood is at least 95 percent, the majority of adjustment from small spots of varnish lift. The price is firm and layaway is available. $2,750 plus shipping.
