This is something you don't see every day. The ultimate squirrel rifle. Nice custom flintlock Southern Mountain Rifle in .27. Several factors to consider with this one. I have never seen a sub .32 contemporary flintlock before. Well executed. Overall good wood to metal fit. I believe stock is Walnut. Barrel finish artificially aged. Round bottom rifling. Excellent bore. Builder of barrel was REX MAXEY, who specialized in smallbore muzzleloader barrels. Until I shot it using some undersize #3 buckshot, it had never been fired. Specs: 41.5" barrel with what appears to be 1:72 twist. 13.75" LOP. Weighs 7.5 lbs. I had originally planned to keep it, but already have a .32 SMR. $1400 + Shipping.
