DPMS LR-308 – 308 Win – 16" Barrel – 20+1 – Sightmark Optic Included
When DPMS started making the LR-308, it gained a reputation for being a reliable, entry level .308 Win semi-automatic AR platform rifle. Affordably priced, it was within reach of most folks that wanted a .308 AR. The LR-308 that we have on consignment (serial #: 107733) was, we believe, one of the first generation of this rifle.
The rifle has a 16 inch barrel with a 1:10 twist and an A2 bird cage flash hider. It also has these features:
M4 type handguard with heat shield.
Dust cover.
DPMS multi-position adjustable stock.
Picatinny rail above the receiver and also just forward of the handguard.
Shell deflector.
Forward assist.
The rifle has a good bore, bright barrel and strong rifling. The metal finish is Very Good. It does show some signs of use and handling but has no major defects. The furniture is also in Very Good condition. It appears to us that the rifle has seen some use but nothing excessive.
Mounted on the rifle is a Sightmark Z series green dot optic. We replaced the battery and the dot functions normally and the adjustments work as they should. This is not, obviously, a high end optic but it’s not pretending to be one either. It’s a basic green dot that does its job. We also have a Sightmark 3x magnifier that is included with the purchase but is not currently mounted on the rifle.
Overall, this is an affordable AR-platform rifle that’s in great shape and won’t put a huge dent in your budget. Good quality, an affordable price, great condition and an optic already mounted so that you can stop at the range on the way home after buying it!
Purchase includes the rifle and mounted optic as shown, (1) 20 round DPMS metal magazine and a Sightmark 3x magnifier that is not mounted.
This is a consignment sale and, like all of our consignments, we have not test fired this rifle. We have performed our function checks and find no issues to report. As with all pre-owned firearm purchases, please review the photos carefully so that you are fully comfortable with the condition of the rifle.
