Cogswell & Harrison Avant Tout Boxlock Side by Side Ejector in 12 Ga, a classic British-made field gun built with 30 inch barrels, 2 3/4 inch chambers, and a solid rib. It features an English Walnut Prince of Wales stock and double triggers for precise field performance.
This Avant Tout by Cogswell & Harrison is in excellent condition for its age. Some handling marks on the beautiful English walnut wood add to its character. The fore-end has some checkering wear, and the butt stock has carved texture with a little wear. The barrels remain in good condition with bluing intact. A few light surface corrosion marks are the only blemishes that don't take away from the overall beauty of this gun. There is a small scratch on the right-hand barrel. Engraving on top of the left barrel reads 'Cogswell & Harrison The Avant Tout' and the right reads '141 New Bond St & 226 Strand London'. Silver bead sight. Nice tight break action with the ejectors firing well. Weighs 7 3/10 lbs.
