Description:
An affordable option from Winchester, the Ranger 120 shotgun is a pump-action shotgun with design implements that have continued to be included in the modern Winchester Super X Pump (SXP). For instance, the bolt is separated from a bolt carrier and utilizes the recoil to unlock the bolt and make cycling the action easier. This concept is also used in the Benelli Nova series of shotguns. This Ranger 120 was made in 1983 and is chambered in 12 gauge with a 3" chamber and 28" barrel. The barrel has a vented serrated rib with green fiber optic front sight. Included and installed in the barrel is an improved cylinder choke tube and is compatible with other Winchoke-pattern choke tubes. The shotgun is dressed in lightweight, weatherproof synthetic furniture with molded texturing on the pistol grip and beavertail forend. The stock is padded with a soft rubber buttpad. Overall quality of this shotgun is fair to good, as it operates properly and without any hiccups. The furniture shows light usage wear but no damage, and the barrel and bolt are both in good condition. However, there is some surface rust on the exterior of the barrel's underside between it and the magazine tube. The magazine endcap also has some finish corrosion built up on it. The polymer trigger housing also has quite a bit of discoloration, which appears to be due to UV/solar exposure or possibly reaction with chemicals. This is, of course, only cosmetic damage and does not affect the operation of the gun. This Winchester Ranger 120 does not include a case or box. 12 Gauge
