.40-50 caliber, 26" part octagon barrel with mid barrel sight, windage front and elevation adjustable rear tang. Lever actuated case hardened falling block action with external hammer. Plain uncheckered forend with nickel silver Schnabel cap. Checkered pistol grip buttstock ending with a casehardened steel buttplate. The barrel retaining most of the original blue finish. Excellent receiver with much of the case colors remaining. Beautiful wood and varnish. Nice bright bore and mechanically perfect.
