You are looking at a used early Smith and Wesson chambered in “32 WCF" which is commonly known as .32-20. This revolver has been refinished by Smith and Wesson as indicated by the star beside of the serial number. The grips are sharp and clean. I will say that I wish S&W would have done better prep work before they refinished it as you can still see some pitting underneath the finish. The cylinder and hammer have also lost some of the nickel finish.
