"Serial No. 2521806, made October 1944, .30-06, 24" round barrel marked with an “X" and Winchester proof mark, indicative of wartime Winchester production. Bolt is marked D28287-1 W.R.A., receiver is marked D28291-2, and cut op-rod is marked D35382 SA, reflecting a typical mix of wartime and arsenal-replacement components. The trigger housing is correctly marked “W.R.A.". Stock is in very good condition, displaying light handling and usage marks, and features a “RIA/EB" cartouche on the right side, indicating a Rock Island Arsenal postwar inspection or rebuild.
