"Serial No. 5420370, made circa 1954–1955, .30-06, 24" round barrel. Barrel is marked SA F6535448 10 54 A215A and bears the DOD Eagle, confirming Springfield Armory production during the final phase of U.S. military M1 Garand manufacturing. Bolt is marked 6528287-SA / A14, and receiver is marked Z 9 C / F6528291. The operating rod is of the cut variety, marked 6535382 SA, consistent with correct post-war configuration. The trigger assembly is marked “SA", with all internals also of Springfield origin.Finish and stock are in excellent condition, with only light handling wear visible. A faint DOD cartouche is present on the left side of the stock, verifying military inspection. Action is smooth and functions correctly, with crisp mechanical response and clean interior components. Rifle comes with CMP cardboard box and original receipt from 1998. Consignment
