Synopsis: Russian Military, Makarov Rig, Dated 1960 Description: Standard configuration Makarov with fixed front sight and drift adjustable rear sight. Full serial number on left side of slide, safety, and left side of frame. Primary Russian magazine, original number removed and replaced with an electropenciled “1541-2”; second magazine matching, sub-numbered "2". Izhevsk Arsenal marking on left side of frame. Import markings as imaged. Single piece reddish maroon plastic grip with two checkered panels impressed with encircled 5 pointed star. Russian holster, probably commercial with illegible date, no cleaning rod. This is the earliest date we have personally encountered. Condition: Bright 95% early original blue, considerably lighter/bluer than later production pistols, with comparable condition magazines. Near mirror bore.
