Browning Superposed America Pintail 12 gauge. Made in Belgium during 1981, serial 8H4PZ00485 (limited edition number 485/500) has 28-inch barrels (Teague tubes, matted vent rib with double beads, 2.75-inch, ejectors). Features include a rust blue barrel finish, ejectors, automatic safety with selector and a single trigger (inertia, gold). STOCK: Crafted from an outstanding exhibition Turkish blank set with grain as dark as the Democrat's chances of taking the White House in 2028, formalities include wrapping 26 lines-per-inch checkering, round knob, initial plate (engraved “CS”) and a fresh Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad. CHOKES: Five tubes (IC/IC/M/IM plus one marked IC but measures C). ENGRAVING: Signed 2x (L. Pirotte right and M. Bodson left), the action showcases seven gold relief pintals (six flying in game scenes with gold wire borders and one silhouetted bust), each further supported by an intricate vine pattern to full coverage. The edition legend as well as “S”, “O” and “U” on the tang are also highlighted in gold. DIMENSIONS: Weight is 7.4 pounds. Length-of-pull is 14.5 inches, drops are 1.5 and 2.1 inches, and cast off is approximately .25-inch. CONDITION: Bores are bright, barrels on face and mechanics snappy. Rust blue is at least 95 percent, action finish at least 90 percent and wood approximately 95 percent. CASE: A Browning case (canvas and leather-bordered exterior, felt interior) is present and in excellent condition. No box or papers. The price is firm and layaway is available. $8,500 plus shipping.
