Description:
Vintage Ottoman Empire Flintlock Pirate’s Boarding Pistol. Overall length is a massive 19 ½”, with a barrel length of 10”. The pistol is equipped with a grappling hook for hooking ships netting when force boarding and a Medieval combat axe. The barrel bore is approximately .69 caliber, and the mechanics work perfectly holding solid on half cock and full cock. The barrel is clear with the powder pan clear for loading. Also features fine wire inlay and cast engraved brass furniture. Lock is probably Italian as many Middle Eastern guns are made with Italian or Spanish locks. Middle Eastern barrels are mostly made in the Middle East but the locks which were complicated were imported. Gun works perfectly and is in very good condition. Pirates loved the combat options these multi-functional pistols offered. They are very rare and seldom encountered especially in functional condition.
