32520- INDIAN WARS SPRINGFIELD U.S. MODEL 1866 SECOND ALLIN CONVERSION .50-70 CAL. RIFLE. 36 3/4” barrel. Breech block date stamped “1866”. Lock plate stamped “U.S./SPRINGFIELD” with eagle. All original and excellent overall with the original metal patina and all the stock finish. Lock plate with considerable original color case hardening. Exceptionally nice crisp Ordnance Sub-inspector’s cartouche on stock side panel. Excellent bright bore with great rifling. Nice example. $1900.
