This Winchester Model 40 semi-automatic was manufactured in 1940, and was one of 10,000 made. It was released as Winchester's second attempt at a self-loading shotgun. Due to a factory trade-back deal in 1940 many Model 40s were traded in for Model 12s or not delivered at all, making this a true survivor
This shotgun is chambered in 12 gauge, 2 3/4" shells. The 28" barrel features a modified choke. The Bluing of the shotgun is in very good condition. This Model 40's furniture is also in very good condition with minimal handling marks. The wood shows no gouges or chips.
