A fine example of the Belgian-made Browning B25 B2F Grade, built in 1980 at FN Herstal. This 12-gauge over/under features 27.5" barrels chambered for 2.75", choked Improved Cylinder (.007") and Improved Modified (.015"). The action is a classic FN boxlock with single selective trigger, ejectors, and smooth mechanical operation that locks up tight. The bores are clear and the trigger remains crisp, with overall wear limited to the faint handling marks you’d expect on a well-kept gun of its age. B2F marked on top of left flank of action and underneath the knuckle.
The engraving is stunning, with the left side showing two ducks in a game scene surrounded by acanthus scroll, the right side with two pheasants similarly framed, and the underside covered in floral motifs and scrollwork. The barrels retain 99% of their original deep blued finish. The straight-grip walnut stock and schnabel forend are equally impressive, displaying streaked dark grain patterns and sharp checkering that complement the engraved action beautifully.
Length of pull measures 15.625" to the leather-covered recoil pad, or 14.25" to the wood. Drop at comb is 1.375" with a drop at heel of 2". The gun balances at just 7 lb 2 oz and carries a vent matted rib with a gold front bead.
Overall, this is a very good, lightly used B25 that combines artistry and performance. A superb representation of FN’s hand-built craftsmanship, offering both elegance and reliability for the field or the cabinet.
