Lots of residual case coloring and hand rubbed oil finish on the stock. Wonderful condition 7-pin sidelock with self-opener, disc set strikers, auto safety, rolled edge trigger guard, articulated front trigger, gold lined cocking indicators, automatic selective ejectors, and long length of pull. Easy to swing and carry for a day afield at 6lb 7oz. The 25” steel barrels are chambered for 2-3/4” shotshells and are topped by a thin, tapered hand crosshatched rib. The top of the right barrel is inscribed “Made by Pedro Arrizabalaga in Eibar, Spain”. The top of the left barrel is inscribed “For J. Roberts & Son, King St. London.” The right barrel is bored 0.729 with a constriction of 0.008 for Improved Cylinder choke. The left barrel is also bored 0.729 and has a constriction of 0.015 for Light Modified choke. The straighthand stock and splinter forearm are made of nicely figured European walnut with a handrubbed satin oil finish. Checkering is crisp. There are a few minor handling marks from normal usage. Stock dimensions are 15” to a checkered butt by 1-1/2” by 2” and cast off for the righthand shot. These unique doubles are made by one of Spain’s greatest gunmakers. They are in excellent mechanical condition. Long length of pull and great handling. The barrels and the stock of both guns show some minor scratches and wear from normal usage. An excellent buy for the experienced upland gunner who appreciates the quick handling of short-barreled doubles. “Horses for courses.” Please note that the photographs are part of the description.
