Serial #E447881, 16 Gauge, 28 inch barrel with a bright, excellent bore choked full. This is the Winchester Model 1897 Slide Action take down shotgun manufactured in 1909. It remains in excellent condition with the barrel and magazine tube showing about 90-95% of the original blue with the receiver about 80-85% with some isolated areas of finish loss and pitting with use marks and some minor scratching. The stock and forearm are solid with scattered minor surface contusions and varnish level scratches. The action function properly with tight lock up. An overall excellent 1897 that would be fun to shoot. FFL or C&R
