Description:
Serial #46677K, 8mm Mauser (8 x 57mm), 24 inch barrel with a fine dark bore with very strong rifling and a light overall frosting. This is a WWII waffenamt inspected Model K98 rifle that was converted to a sporting rifle. In very good condition the barrel retains much of a refinished blue finish showing somewhat filled in original German army Eagle over 135 stamp on the receiver and "Mod.98". The custom stock is solid with a recent heavy varnish layer. It is equipped with barrel and stock mounted sling swivel studs and has weaver optics bases attached. The action locks up tight and functions properly. A very nice example of the very common sporter 98 conversions. FFL or C&R
