Description:
General Specs: Remington, 1945, .22LR Shotshell, 5lbs. 12oz., LOP 13 5/8"
Serial Number:  70646

Vintage Firearms is pleased to offer this rare Remington Fieldmaster Model 121. This example was manufactured in November 1945, the serial number 70646. The Routledge Counterbored smoothbore is chambered for a .22 Long Rifle Shotshell. It was introduced for the novel indoor Trap shooting that was all the vogue in the 40’s. This gun displays 98% factory bluing, and furniture with original factory finishes, the wood has some figure especially across the comb, there are some spots where the finish has been damaged, righteous wear on a gun that was used and valued! The bore is like a mirror and starts off as a smoothbore .22 and transitions to a .410 bore about halfway along the 23 ½” barrel. The Remington Fieldmaster Model 121 was manufactured between 1936 and 1954 but the shotgun version is a rare sight, beginning production in 1939 less than 2500 Routledge smoothbore’s where made. These are rare guns to begin with and one that is in such great condition is an exceptional find.  VFI provides the most thorough photos, description, and specifications in the industry, providing you all the information you need to make an informed purchase. We have priced this gun to sell, so please don’t hesitate to call or she will be gone! Thanks for looking.
