This Winchester rifle was produced in 1891. The rifle's serial number is 386159. This rifle has the 24 inch octagonal barrel chambered to shoot the 38 W.C.F [38-40] cartridge. The bore is in good condition. The top barrel flat and brass carrier both have the caliber stamped on the surface. The sights are original to this Winchester. The action works fine with no issues. The metal finish would rate mostly patina with some original bluing in protected places. The stock and forend have no cracks or other damage to the wood. The wood retains most of the factory finish. The stock and forend have some nice light figuring to the wood. This is a well used ranch rifle from the frontier era! There is a growing group of collectors that look for rifles of this era. Here is a nice one for the collectors!
