"Serial No. G5897, manufactured in 1944 at the Preduzece 44 Factory, chambered in 8mm Mauser, with a 24" round import-marked barrel. This rifle is a Yugoslavian refurbishment of a German K98k, produced near the end of WWII. Serial numbers are matching throughout, and the rifle retains the majority of its original blue finish. The Yugoslav crest remains handsomely struck on the receiver. Stock is in very good condition, with light handling impressions consistent with age and service. The rear sight retains a faint German Eagle/623 Waffenamt, indicating leftover wartime German components were used during assembly or refurbishment. Action is smooth and functions correctly.
