The Colt USMC M45A1 Early Commercial Pistol, chambered in .45 ACP, features a full-size Government Model frame with a flat dark earth Cerakote finish, ambidextrous safety, Trijicon sights, a national match grade barrel, and Wilson Combat magazines, representing a limited commercial production variant of the military-issued M1911 M45A1 used by USMC Force Recon units from 2012 to 2019. Complete with a Pelican case and comprehensive accessory package.

Description:

Outstanding, as new, early commercial version of the Colt M45A1 pistol in .45 ACP as tested by the USMC, finished with a flat dark earth Cerakote. This commercial counterpart, serial number 05482EGA, has the full-size Government Model frame with picatinney rail, ambidextrous safety, and slide with Trijicon fixed front sight and drift adjustable rear sight with dotted tritium inserts. National match grade barrel is marked "-COLT 45 AUTO N.M.-" Left side of slide marked "COLT *** USMC". Right side of slide marked "COLT GOVERNMENT MODEL" while right side of frame marked with "COLT'S PT. F.A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD, CONN. U.S.A." over serial number "05482EGA" followed by data matrix code/QR code and "(17V) 13629 / (1P) M1070CQBP / (S) 05482EGA / U.S." Fitted with distinctive G10 grips featuring intricate pattern in blue and gray tones with traditional grip screw securement. Includes two Wilson Combat 7-round magazines with 2-indicator slots on left side and black polymer WILSON COMBAT floorplates. Complete with green hard case bearing Colt logo and "MADE IN THE USA" marking, comprehensive accessory package including cleaning kit with bronze brushes and supplies, instruction manual, test target, warranty information, cable lock, and various Colt documentation and promotional materials, storage in case on two levels. The M45A1 was developed as an M1911 variant for Force Reconnaissance companies, MARSOC and Special Reaction Teams, serving from 2012 until replacement by the SIG Sauer M17/M18 in 2019. Relatively few of the commercial guns were made as, shortly after production started, Colt was advised against marking their slides with the same "USMC" legend as the military pistols.
