Description:
CUSTOM SHARPS 1874 HEAVY BARREL .50-90. I don’t know much about this one as the receiver is unmarked except for some proof marks on the extreme bottom behind the triggers. The 32” octagon barrel measures 1 1/16” at the muzzle and is unmarked aside from “50 90” on the top flat ahead of the receiver. The receiver is nicely case colored, double set triggers with adjustment screw function properly. The barrel is polished blue and not cut for a rear sight dovetail. Fitted with a Mid-Range vernier tang sight adjustable for windage and elevation and a Beech combination folding globe front sight. Fairly fancy walnut butt stock is nicely checkered and fitted with a slightly curved case colored steel butt plate. Plain forend with schnable tip. Exc. bore and overall excellent on the outside (The sights alone if ordered from Montana Vintage Arms would cost $463 plus shipping) Weighs just slightly over 12 lbs.
