J. Blanch & Son Boxlock Side by Side, 16 Ga, 28" Barrels

2 1/2" Chambers | Full & Mod Chokes | Overall Length 44 1/2" | Good Condition | No Case

J. Blanch & Son Boxlock Side by Side in 16 Ga, a classic lightweight English boxlock field gun built with 28" barrels and a solid rib. It features a Prince of Wales stock in English Walnut and a two-trigger break-action design for reliable field performance. The smoothbore barrels and traditional scroll engraving on the receiver reflect the craftsmanship of J. Blanch & Son.

Dating to 1920 in the United Kingdom, this boxlock side-by-side is chambered 2 1/2" with Full choke on the left and Mod choke on the right; It has 28" barrels and an overall length of 44 1/2". The top rib reads "J. Blanch & Son 29 Gracechurch St London". The wood is a deep brown with amber-gold tones, and there is a deeper gouge on the left-hand side of the stock along with other handling marks. The receiver retains crisp classic scroll engraving, and the silver bead sight remains. Break action works well. Weight is approximately 6 lb 5 1/5 oz; LOP 14 3/8", LOP to Wood 14 1/8"; DAC 1 3/8", DAH 2 3/8"; Cast Neutral; Stock: Prince of Wales. The barrel bluing shows wear but there is no corrosion.
