Boxlocks - A 20ga Charles Lancaster assisted opener completed 1898. The gun is balanced wonderfully just behind the hinge and points very naturally. Excellent bores.
Unusually, the assisted opening bar on the barrel flats covers some proof marks, suggesting it was added later. Nicely figured stock with raised cheek piece in the original wood.
With a tight action and perfect bores this antique is ready for the field.
