Top of the barrel rib is marked Revolver Mod 1916 Cal 10-35. In my reference book Cartridges of the World, it described this cartridge as follows. "This cartridge was developed for the Italian Model 1874 service revolver. The cartridge is similar to the .44 S&W Russian." This has outward appearance of being a copy of the Smith and Wesson First Model DA. Operates perfectly in double and single action. Breaks out to eject spent cartridges. Ejector works perfectly. No original finish remaining. Skull cracker butt, has a lanyard ring. I am not sure if this was actually an Italian service revolver. The bore has deep rifling. Sold as an Antique no guarantees, warranties, or liabilities for any actual usage. If any firearms are to be used for shooting purposes, a qualified gunsmith should inspect them first.
