Description:
For sale is a 2000 Colt Cowboy single-action revolver chambered in .45 Colt (.45 Long Colt). The Colt Cowboy was introduced in 1999 as a more affordable version of the iconic Colt Single Action Army revolver. The Cowboy is built with a cast steel frame, rather than forged and features a less-finished polish on the externals compared to its more expensive brother; the frame is finished in a color case-hardened finish with a medium-polish bluing on the barrel and pistol grip. The Cowboy also adds a Ruger-style transfer bar safety to make it safe to carry in with all four chambers loaded. The Colt Cowboy has a 4 ½" barrel and fluted cylinder and is a single-action only revolver. The sights are made up of a fixed front sight blade with a grooved frame and small rear sight notch. The Cowboy wears a set of black plastic grips with rampant Colt molded into the grips. Ultimately, the Colt Cowboy did not have fantastic sales and was discontinued in 2004, making it a relatively uncommon piece for the Colt collector. This Colt Cowboy is in very good condition: the lockup and timing are solid and the finish is overall good. There is no box or case included with this revolver. .45 Long Colt
