This is an interesting opportunity to own an original Winchester Factory Shipping Crate, labeled for a Model 70 Target rifle with Marksman Stock, 30-06 Government, stock #7044. The serial number on the label is only partially legible but the numbers you can see match the ones on the top of the box #374482. The box is also labeled "Paragon 861 B Way NYC" This would be for the famous Paragon Sporting Goods Store opened in 1908. The crate is in excellence condition with some age soiling on the exterior. In the shiny interior there are all of the original nails, three sets of felt lined rifle blocks and original rifle wrapping paper. This crate would make a nice home for a period 1950's Van Orden M70 Snipers Rifle.;
