Description:
30" SxS chopper-lump barrels, with low flat matted rib, choked cylinder and tight improved modified. 14 3/8" pull from front trigger to checkered wood butt finished with engraved steel heel & toe plates. 1 5/8" - 2 3/4" drop. No cast. Fully figured English walnut stocks with Anson pushbutton release splinter forend, flat sidepanels with teardrops, round knob half pistol grip, classic point-pattern checkering and vacant silver initial oval. Very finely scroll-engraved action with sculptured and feather-detailed fences, two pointers on left, two setters on right, two pheasants and a snipe on the triggerplate, and two ducks in a marsh scene on the triggerguard bow. Automatic top tang safety with SAFE inlaid in gold. Weight: 6lbs, 11oz. Birmingham proved under the rules of 1904 - 1925  for 1 1/4oz loads. Virtually all the original finishes intact. Tight. Barrels ring like chimes and with excellent bores. A very high quality gun, inexplicably unsigned.
