Description:
This is a very clean, unmessed with, pre WW2 transitional carbine. It still has the carbine butt stock, a ramped front sight and no saddle ring. It is still marked .30 WCF, the top tang is still marked Winchester unlike post war versions. It was made in 1937. The 20" barrel has a beautiful bore - bright, sharp, clean - a 9.5 on a 10 scale. The action is crisp, positive. The screws are nice, the wood is solid and not refinished. Overall this is an honest, sharp little 30-30 carbine that was hunted with, not shot much and was well cared for, getting harder to find these.
