This old Browning Superposed features original blueing on both barrel and receiver. The top lever is still to the right, the finish on the wood is complete and unblemished however as typical for Browning Superposed the finish shows cracking and separation in the finish. There is a hariline crack on each side of the fore end, it does not appear that there is any lost wood and that they will probably not crack any further. The fore end has a metal cap at the muzzle end, the stock has a round knob pistol grip and an original Browning Superposed butt plate as well as a long tang trigger guard and a Y shape top tang. The receiver sports its original austere engraving, there are a few slight pits evident on the right side and on the left side there is a faint scratch. This is a beautiful original and complete 1938 Belgium Browning. These are getting harder and harder to find. The barrel has factory bores of 724 and constriction of 25 and 37.
