Description:
DWM (Deutches Waffen & Munitionsfabrik), P.08 Luger in excellent condition.
All matching numbers, retaining 98% of the original rust blue finish with light silvering to high-edges of the sideplate and front of the frame.
The barrel is 3.78” and chambered in .30 Luger with a clean bore and strong rifling.
The straw color on the five small parts has darkened and remains strong. The trigger-bar spring and toggle axles show a brilliant fire nitre blue, while the grip screws appear an almost dark mirror.
The hold-open is present and functions correctly. The frame stock-lug is unmarred. The safety is marked “GESICHERT”, and the extractor marked “GELADEN”.
This Luger bears the "Crown/N" proofs, DWM stamped toggle, blank chamber with no import marks.
The walnut grips are undamaged and beautifully marbled, in excellent condition, original to this piece. Checkering is well-defined, with no flattened points and uniform color to the set.
The original nickeled steel magazine has the correct unmarked wooden base, remains excellent.
The German leather case is in as new condition. It is an unmarked, lined and tooled commercial leather case from Germany.
This piece is presented as found. Disassembled, inspected, not cleaned nor altered.
