Description:
Winchester Model 23HD in 212 gauge chambered for 3" shells. This example has 30" ejector barrels with a white bead in a base at the front of the rib and a smaller white mid-bead. The top of the solid rib is checkered. The left side of the left barrel is marked "WINCHESTER – MODEL 23HD – 12 GAUGE 3" / EAST ALTON IL. U.S.A.", the right of the right barrel is marked "MADE IN JAPAN" and the top of the rib is marked "HEAVY DUCK". The left barrel flat is marked "O", the right is marked "180", and "12-3" in oval. The bottom of the left barrel is marked with a "WP" proof and "DUCK FULL", the bottom of the right barrel is marked "DUCK FULL" with an ovalled "WP" proof. The receiver, top lever, trigger guard, and forend iron are plane with a blued finish. The bottom of the receiver is engraved with "HEAVY DUCK" in gold. It has an auto safety / barrel selector switch. The stocks are two-piece checkered walnut with a beavertail forend, capped pistol grip, straight comb, and a Winchester smooth black rubber recoil pad. Comes with a hard canvas covered Winchester case, keys, original Winchester box, and some paperwork. Overall this winchester appears in lightly condition and rates in excellent condition. Stock measurements: (DC-1 5/8", DH-2 3/8") with a neutral cast. Serial HD-180E. 12 Gauge
