This Springfield Model 1873 is a right-hand trapdoor rifle in .45-70 Govt Cal. It has a 32" barrel with a blade front sight, an adjustable notch middle sight and fixed notch rear sight. The forearm is smooth Walnut in excellent condition. The butt stock is a smooth grip straight grip Walnut with a metal butt plate. Wood is stamped 1898. SN 74462. .45-70 Government
