Rare original Colt Cartridge Works Civil War manufacture wooden block of 6 combustible cartridges for the .44 Colt Revolving Rifle, with a callout on the label specifying a 21" to 33" barrel. I can't find another example of this particular pack. Box shows wear and damage, however the pull wire is intact and hasn't been pulled.
All six original cartridges are present; 5 of the 6 are in excellent complete condition while one has separated and shows a split on the seam exposing some solidified powder. Comes housed in a riker case for display.
