Description:

Synopsis:

Beautiful late production, all-matching Waffenwerke Brunn G.24(t) made in 1942, a WWII-era German military rifle based on the Czech vz.24, chambered in 8mm, with original laminated stock, crisp markings, and a mirror bore.

Description:

Standard configuration late production Waffenwerke Brunn G.24(t) rifle, based on the Czech model vz.24 rifle, renamed, the "G" reflecting "Gewehr" (rifle), "t" designator adopted as the first letter in the German spelling of Czechoslovakia, produced from 1939-1942. The top of the receiver is marked with "dou." the wartime code for the Brunn factory over "42" for the (last) year of manufacture. The right side of the receiver has two "Eagle A80" acceptance proofs, the left side has the large firing proof and is marked "G24(t)". It has the original wartime laminated stock and handguard, proofed on the right side of the buttstock with the large "Eagle H" Heers Army acceptance proof, over two Eagle "WaA80" proofs, proofs in the grip area and the matching serial number on lower spine. Correct military sling.

Condition:

VG+ with metal components retaining over 98% of their bright original salt blue, light oxidative charge changes on the distal ball of the bolt knob. Stock has been very lightly sanded, markings remaining crisp, a hairline repair in the handguard just behind the rear sight. Mirror bore. Correct manual mechanics. VG sling with light crazing. An extremely attractive and all-matching G.24 type rifle made by the Czechoslovakian company Waffenwerke Brunn in 1942 with a crisply marked, albeit lightly refinished, stock.
