The 28" barrels are invisibly sleeved with 2 1/2" chambers. There are areas of pitting in both bores. The chokes are .019/.037 (about modified/full). The gun locks up tight, and the ejectors are in time. The stepped action features carved fences and excellent scroll engraving. There are intercepting sears. The top-lever is engraved with the numeral "2". The fore-end has an engraved lever release. There is a repaired crack at the bottom of the fore-end where wood meets metal. The beautifully figured stock measures 1 5/8" x 2" x 13 3/4" with engraved heel-and-toe plates. The bottom of the butt-stock has an initial plate with a previous owner's initials. There is cast off (for a right hand shot.) The weight is 6 lbs 6 oz. This is a high quality Scottish game gun from a great maker, (and it's very fun to carry in the grouse woods).
