Description:
Winchester Model 1886 Lever Action Rifle 40-82 cal Bore Exc shiny strong rifling, Mech Exc tight action, Wood is original near excellent and fits to metal exc and has an old coat of varnish. Has an original 26” oct barrel with full mag, Excellent Winchester address and cal markings and the sights are period style replacements. Has an original buttplate. The receiver has the Model 1886 on the top tang and the lower tang has the patent dates and Serial #36628 Mf’d 1889. The bolt also has strong original blue finish. The metal is VG with traces of some case colors on the receiver and traces of some fine pitting. A very clean and well taken care of Winchester 1886 rifle.
