This AMT AutoMag II stands out as the first commercially successful semi-automatic pistol chambered in .22 WMR. The AMT Automag II stands out in the world of firearms for its distinctive design and engineering prowess. Manufactured by Arcadia Machine and Tool from 1987 until 1999, this pistol was one of the first successful autoloading .22 Magnum handguns on the market. Built in Irwindale, California, it uses a gas-retarded blowback system with a stainless chamber sleeve featuring 18 radial gas-relief ports to manage the .22 WMR cartridge. Its stainless steel construction, vented slide, and adjustable sights make it a distinctive and collectible full-size rimfire pistol.
