Description: For sale is a Spanish Ugartechea side-by-side shotgun chambered in 12 gauge. The Boehler Antinit-steel barrels measure 29 ½" long and have 2 ¾" chambers. Both barrels feature fixed choke restrictions, with an improved modified choke in the left and modified in the right barrel. The two barrels are joined by a solid wide rib with anti-glare texturing and a single silver front bead. The barrels are marked with a 'P' date code, indicating a 1945 manufacture (however, this year seems rather early for a piece in this condition with such features and manufacturing processes). The sideplate receiver is a bright coin-finished steel with decorative engravings throughout. The shotgun features double triggers and selective extractors. This side-by-side is adorned with a set of light gloss-finished walnut furniture, with an English-style straight stock and a thin splinter forend. The stock appears to have either been cut down or had more material added, as there is an obvious joining of wood on the buttstock. The butt is checkered without a recoil pad of any kind. The barrels on this shotgun have been refinished, evidenced by wear on the markings and a more even finish on such a seemingly old gun. The barrels are both heavily pitted throughout, but no further rust is visible inside the gun. The receiver is in good condition and the finish appears to have been re-polished, as the markings and engravings are a little shallow and not as sharp. But, fitment of the gun is quite good. Mainly, the barrel pitting is the most notable flaw on this gun. This shotgun does not include a box or case. 12 Gauge Price: $1,699.99 Chambers: 2 3/4 Metal Condition: Good Wood Condition: Good; modified stock Bore Condition: Poor; heavily pitted (both barrels) Barrels: 29 1/2 Triggers: Double Stock Dimensions: "14 ½"" LOP; 1 9/16"" comb drop, 2 5/8"" heel drop; cast on Fore End: Light gloss checkered walnut splinter Butt Pad: Checkered butt Weight: 7 lbs Sights: Textured wide solid rib with single silver bead Chokes: Fixed improved modified (left); fixed modified (right) Item Location: Kearney, NE |
