.68 caliber, 29" swamped full octagon barrel. Beautiful engraved flat lock and cock with an interesting hammer safety retracts out the way when fired. Steel engraved mounts with an unusual combination wood and steel lower tang. Double set triggers. Full length relief carved walnut stock ending with an engraved steel buttplate. Three leaf folding barrel sight. The name "Gros/Nitz" appears on the lock. There is what appears to be a maker's mark inlaid into the rear of the barrel but I can't make it out. This is an exceptionally high quality example.
